About Occupy Texas State University

Founded in 2021, Occupy Texas State University was launched by Global Pastor Antwan J. Eaves as the second-ever Occupy campus. This launch was more than a strategic decision—it was, in the words of our leadership, “a God thing.” Many members and alumni of Occupy Missouri State moved to Texas to help plant this chapter, believing the Lord wanted to spark revival in the region through the vehicle of Texas State.

From the beginning, Occupy Texas State has been an active and vibrant ministry. Occupy is a diverse campus ministry dedicated to spreading the Word of God and has radically changed the landscape of campus ministry on college campuses. The collegiate men and women in Occupy are committed to serving God and making an impact both on-campus and in the surrounding community.

We hold revolutionary OCCUPY Services that integrate Dynamic Worship, Relevant Word, and a Life-Changing Atmosphere. These gatherings draw not only students but also community members, sending waves of impact across campus and beyond. Additionally, our Life Groups meet weekly to cultivate community and give students a space to study the Word of God in a smaller, more personal setting.

Occupy Texas State meets Tuesdays at 8:00 PM in the LBJ Student Center Teaching Theater (and occasionally in other LBJ Student Center meeting spaces). In addition to weekly services, we regularly host Soul Food Sundays, game nights, and other events that build relationships and foster spiritual growth.

Leadership
Occupy Texas State University is led by Pastor Antwan J. Eaves and his wife, Benee Eaves. Sierra Mitchell serves as the Occupy Logistics Director for this campus. Together, they are passionate about providing students with multiple avenues to encounter Christ, grow in their faith, and connect with a supportive community.

Looking Ahead
Our vision for the next year is the same across every Occupy campus: to become an equipping place where every student can experience dynamic worship, a relevant word, and a life-changing atmosphere. We want students to leave our gatherings feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready to take on the world for the sake of the gospel.
