Occupy University of Texas
Est. 2023

The journey to launch Occupy University of Texas has been a process of prayer, strategy, and persistence. While the vision for this campus began taking shape in 2022, tangible traction began in 2023. Founded by Global Pastor Antwan J. Eaves and the dedicated team who moved from Missouri to plant campuses in Texas, the UT chapter carries a unique role in the broader vision of Occupy Global — to establish the ministry’s headquarters in the same city as this world-class university in Austin, TX.

Occupy is a diverse campus ministry dedicated to spreading the Word of God and has radically changed the landscape of campus ministry on college campuses. The collegiate men and women in Occupy are committed to serving God and making an impact both on-campus and in the surrounding community. Our OCCUPY Services integrate Dynamic Worship, Relevant Word, and a Life-Changing Atmosphere, drawing not only students but also members of the wider Austin community.

We have already held a handful of services on campus, and this fall, gatherings will be held biweekly on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM in various locations on campus. Along with our services, we host Life Groups, monthly Soul Food Sundays, game nights, and a variety of events designed to cultivate community, foster discipleship, and spark spiritual growth.

Leadership
Occupy University of Texas is led by Pastor Antwan J. Eaves and his wife, Benee Eaves. Kesha Rainey serves as the Occupy Logistics Director for this campus. Together, they are passionate about opening the door for all to come to Christ on the college campus and providing multiple ways for students to grow in faith and fellowship.

Looking Ahead
Our vision for the next year is to become an equipping place where every student can experience dynamic worship, a relevant word, and a life-changing atmosphere. We want students to leave our gatherings feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready to take on the world for the sake of the gospel.
